Bad News for America — And Biden

Inflation is not doing what struggling families need it to do.

We got a report yesterday morning on the latest measure of inflation, and it was bad news for Joe Biden. The producer price index, which measures the cost of goods and services being produced, went up much higher than expected.

Economists had predicted an increase of 0.3% for April, or 3.6% on an annualized basis. But the producer price index came in at 0.5% for the month, or 6% on an annualized basis. That’s a very high number considering that the Federal Reserve’s stated goal is a 2% inflation rate.

Usually, there is a strong relationship between producer and consumer prices. As one economist put it, “Consumers are sure to feel the heat as higher production costs will feed into the inflation they see in the goods and services they buy.” Oh, great.

The bottom line is that inflation is not doing what struggling families need it to do, and family budgets will be under even more stress and strain. The solution happens this November.

Leftist Lies

A favorite tactic of totalitarian ideologies is to rewrite history. The Soviets were notorious for “airbrushing” people out of history books. Not surprisingly, the modern left rewrites history all the time.

They did it with our founding fathers, turning them into monsters. They’ve done it with America generally, telling our children that America was never great and that it was founded on slavery and genocide. They have rewritten the history of the Middle East, turning Israel into an “oppressive colonist power.”

But former Biden Press Secretary and MSNBC host Jen Psaki made the mistake of attempting to rewrite recent history that people still remember. In her new book, “Say More,” Psaki apparently said too much.

She claimed that Joe Biden never looked at his watch during the dignified transfer ceremony when our 13 heroes, who were killed at the Kabul airport because of Biden’s incompetence, were brought home to America.

What is wrong with her?! Everyone saw that infamous photograph of Biden looking at his watch.

You know who remembers that moment the most? The grieving Gold Star family members who were there. And they are furious!

Biden not only looked at his watch, but when he greeted the family members on the tarmac, he tried to make their suffering all about him. He said the tragic death of his son, Beau, was just like their suffering.

No, it wasn’t! Beau Biden died of brain cancer. He did not die in combat.

Those grieving families wanted to hear about their sons and daughters, not Biden’s son. They wanted to hear him say, “I’m sorry.” But he made it all about him.

Now Jen Psaki, who obviously knows the truth, wrote in her book that it never happened.

Some Goldstar fathers were on Fox News Monday night. It’s good that Biden has Secret Service protection. These men were ready to explode. Every time they begin to deal with their grief, this pathetic excuse for a president and his staff rips the scab off again.

Meanwhile, Biden continues to promote another bit of history, but this one never happened.

He regularly repeats the lie that Donald Trump disrespected our fallen soldiers in France by calling them “losers” and “suckers.” It never happened.

Everyone who was with Trump on that trip to France, including people who are no friends of Trump now, has said that never happened. It is completely false. And yet the liar-in-chief says it over and over again.

I guarantee you that in the weeks and months ahead, veterans will get mail, social media messages, and texts telling them not to vote for a man who called our soldiers “suckers.” They will use the big lie all the way up until Election Day.

The FACE Of Injustice

Heather Idoni is the mother of five, a grandmother, and the adoptive mother of ten (not a misprint!) children from Ukraine. She’s been convicted of violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act. Idoni is facing up to 50 years in jail for her pro-life activism, which includes the “heinous crime” of singing hymns outside an abortion clinic.

During one hearing, Idoni was led into the courtroom in full shackles. The shocked judge demanded that the shackles be removed, but the guards only freed her wrists.

Idoni spent 22 days in solitary confinement. Did she attack a prison guard? No. Was she dealing drugs in jail? No. Her offense was sharing her food with another prisoner. The lights in her cell were also left on 24 hours a day, so she couldn’t sleep.

Now it’s being reported that she also suffered a stroke. She was taken to a hospital, recovered, and is back in her cell.

This is the kind of outrageous treatment one would expect in communist China or Putin’s Russia. Not in the United States of America in 2024.

Meanwhile, 200 illegal aliens who attacked law enforcement officers in Texas were all released on a technicality.

Illegal aliens who attack police officers in New York City are back on the streets in hours.

And how can we forget the thug who illegally crossed Joe Biden’s open border, committed numerous crimes in New York, and then murdered Laken Riley in Georgia?

Welcome to Joe Biden’s America.

A Surprising Victory

We don’t know what will happen in November, but I do believe there is a move to the right taking place in reaction to the attempt by the left to dismantle and replace the America we love.

Polling shows this reaction is happening among average Americans, but there are encouraging signs that it is happening even in left-wing bastions like academia.

Students are rebelling against leftist radicals who are taking down the American flag and putting up the Palestinian flag. Many students and even some professors are resisting “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI) policies.

Now there are reports that the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has defunded its DEI programs and is using the substantial savings ($2.3 million) to boost public safety and campus police.

This is a surprising victory and, hopefully, the beginning of a trend.

Radical Mosques

As the school year winds down, many college students are leaving their campuses and returning home for the summer. That will help to quell the chaos at our institutions of “higher learning,” which have become putrid swamps of anti-Semitism.

Unfortunately, it won’t do anything to quell the hate that is preached in too many mosques around the country.

The latest example comes from North Miami, Florida, where an imam preached that the Israeli military was “worse than Nazis” and that Israelis were stealing the “skin of the Palestinians” and harvesting the organs of children. And he prayed, “Oh Allah, annihilate the tyrannical Jews. Oh Allah, annihilate the brothers of apes and pigs.”

Sadly, this is not an isolated incident. It is a frequent refrain heard in hundreds of American mosques.

Tune In To Family Talk

Please tune in to Dr. James Dobson’s Family Talk radio show.

On today’s broadcast, I conclude my discussion with Terry Schilling, president of American Principles Project. Terry and I talk about the vital importance of the family and why it is essential for men and women of faith to be active Christian citizens.
